Privacy Policy

FamilyAI is a private, invitation-only application operated for one family. This policy explains how FamilyAI handles information when an authorized family member connects a Google account.

Information FamilyAI accesses

FamilyAI requests only the Google permissions needed for its family-organization functions:

• the connected account’s primary email address;
• Gmail messages, message metadata, labels, and settings available through read-only access;
• events on calendars the account holder owns, through read-only access; and
• free/busy availability on calendars the account holder can access.

These permissions do not allow FamilyAI to send email or create, modify, or delete calendar events.

How information is used

FamilyAI uses authorized Google account information only to provide requested family-assistant functions, such as retrieving relevant messages and events, answering questions, creating summaries, identifying scheduling conflicts, and helping authorized users organize responsibilities.

Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train generalized artificial-intelligence models.

Storage and disclosure

Information and derived indexes may be stored on private systems and encrypted backups controlled by the FamilyAI operator. Access is limited to authorized family members, the operator, and service components necessary to provide, secure, back up, or recover FamilyAI. Information is not disclosed to unrelated third parties except when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.

Retention and deletion

Information is retained only while needed to provide FamilyAI or maintain its records. A Google account holder can revoke FamilyAI’s access through their Google Account connections page. To request deletion of imported information and derived records, contact the address below. Deleted information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups until those backups expire under the applicable retention schedule.

Security

FamilyAI uses access controls, a private network, encrypted connections, and encrypted backups intended to protect stored information. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection.

Google API data

FamilyAI’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Changes and requests

This policy may be updated when FamilyAI’s data practices change. The effective date above will be revised when that happens. Authorized users may make privacy or deletion requests directly to the FamilyAI operator through the family’s established private communication channels.
